But inform about what is beyond me. Life? Derivatives? Decay Rates? People with too much money? French Riots? Crisco?

Actually, I don't know that much about the last one... and about that first one, well, life is dull. My friends have been amazing as of late, and I've been to several really sweet, decidedly laid-back bonfires that made me feel quite happy, but the permeating sense that finals are going to eat me alive won't seem to go away.
That, and I've been without a conveniently portable source of music for several weeks. That's right, my iPod broke; the head phone jack went coo-coo-crazy, and the battery wasn't worth beans anyways... so we took it to the pretentious ass holes at the genius bar (I'm sure they're very nice people in real life, but once they're in those shirts and behind that counter, they can't help but be assholes) and they said I had no warranty (kind of expecting that) and that while they could replace it for 150$, they couldn't fix it (unfortunately, I was expecting that too).
Now, in case anyone's wondering 'so, why is she throwing a caniption?', the thing is, this is my signed iPod, you know, with the Nightwish signatures? It's not something I readily let out my sight, let alone part with completely, so I had to go en quest of someone who would fix it.
My dad, being a wicked cool guy with a great tech sense, did some trouble shooting which didn't help much, and then some browsing which helped a lot, because we found a fix-it place in Illinois that seemed to be willing to do the job. I told my dad we should throw a note with the story behind the signatures in with the iPod, but he shot me down saying 'no one's going to have heard of Nightwish'.
Within a week, we got an email a) letting us know that they could fix everything for half the price Apple would have charged us and b) asking who signed it, just out of curiosity. Turned out the techies at this fix-it place were a bunch of Nightwish fans, and working on my iPod made their day.
I think I found the biggest Nightwish fan in all of Illinois to fix my iPod, which happened to be signed by Nightwish; what are the odds? It's funny how life works out that way sometimes

Makes me a little more certain we've got a reason for all this.
I love you all, don't let the end of the year make you insane (like it's definitely making me). On a positive note, it's the first time in five years I haven't had my annual spring break down! If I make it through one more week that'll be a milestone accomplishment in therapy...
Lol, like I said, love you all. Take care
